The Playstation 3 (a.k.a PS3) is Sony Computer Entertainment (SCE)'s third generation of home video gaming console. It is the successor of the popular Playstation 2 console and become the direct competion of Microsoft's XBox 360 and Nintendo's Wii console.

Sony was first introduced Playstation 3 system on November 11th, 2006 in Japan, followed by North America and Asia on November 17, 2006, and Europe and Oceania on March 23, 2007. PS3 is the world's first gaming console to feature Blu-Ray disc, the next-gen storage media. To date, this system has the most advanced hardware compared to its competitors.
